We are delighted to share that the school has successfully secured reaccreditation from the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT), reaffirming the exceptional quality of its professional training programmes.
This highly regarded reaccreditation confirms Elmhurst’s continued status as a leading provider of Trinity College London Level 5 and Level 6 Diplomas in Professional Dance, as well as Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Intermediate to Solo Seal examinations. The accreditation is held by only a select number of institutions recognised for delivering elite-level training that equips students with the skills and experience required to progress into professional careers.
Principal Jessica Ward said: “We are incredibly proud to have once again been awarded CDMT accreditation in recognition of the high standards of training we provide. The Council undertook a detailed and thoughtful review of the school, which reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire team.
“This reaccreditation provides independent validation of the quality of our teaching and training model, ensuring our students are fully prepared to secure professional work when they graduate. Elmhurst has a strong track record of students progressing into the industry, and this continued recognition sends a strong message to aspiring dancers nationally and internationally that we are an institution where ambitions can become reality.”
Elmhurst secured reaccreditation following a comprehensive institutional review in November 2025, led by a panel of industry experts who assessed the school against rigorous sector benchmarks. To maintain CDMT accreditation, institutions must meet strict criteria, including delivering three- or four-year programmes, providing a minimum of 30 contact teaching hours per week, and demonstrating that a high proportion of graduates progress into professional performance roles.
Artistic Director Robert Parker added: “This CDMT reaccreditation affirms the consistently high quality of training and education we provide and our focus on equipping students with the skills they need to join professional companies after graduation. It is also a testament to the dedication, commitment and professionalism of our exceptional teaching colleagues.”
