SEND Lead (part-time)

Part-time (0.6), 3 days, Term time only

£22,800 per annum (actual) (FTE £38,000) 

For January 2022 the school is seeking to recruit a SEND Lead (part-time) who will be responsible for putting in place strategies to support our students to achieve their potential.

Elmhurst is academically non-selective but has excellent levels of student achievement.  Students are taught in classes of around 25 at KS3, with small option groups at KS4 and KS5. The majority of students board at the school with a small number of day students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that is highly successful where students have a desire to learn. Applications are welcome from qualified SEND practitioners and/or those that have relevant experience within the role, notably with writing IEP’s and preparing exam access arrangements. 

3 days per week (term-time only) – the distribution of the days is negotiable depending on need.

Cleaner

Part-time 20 hours per week

52 weeks, not term time only

£8.91 per hour

Elmhurst Ballet School is looking for a Cleaner to join us as soon as possible.

Duties may include working in all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, dance studios, theatre, boarding houses, bedrooms, laboratories, showers, halls, corridors, workshops and toilets. Also to assist in the laundry as and when necessary. Ideal candidate should have cleaning experience and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-12pm with occasional overtime

Nurse

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, Term time only

Salary for Term time only is £26,300

FTE - Band 6

A unique opportunity has arisen for a nurse to work at Elmhurst School for Dance.

Working in the purpose built Health and Wellbeing Centre, the school nurse will ensure pupils receive excellent nursing care during their time at school.

This is a permanent, full time post.  You would be working 37.5 hours a week over five days caring for students aged 11-19 years old, with occasional Saturday cover and on-call overnight.

The nurse will have a varied role assisting with medical support for school trips, co-ordinating immunisation programmes and running/managing any health promotion clinics. You will also be responsible for any minor injuries and illness nursing and co-ordinating the care and support of students experiencing eating distress.

We are looking for a nurse who is able to work autonomously and is approachable for both students and staff. We would be particularly interested to hear from anyone with a Paediatric, A&E, Adolescent Mental Health background, with experience in eating disorders.

EAL/EFL Teacher  (part-time, 0.4)

Part-time (0.4), 2 days per week, term-time only

£14,732 per annum (actual) (FTE £36,831)

The school is seeking to recruit a EAL/EFL Teacher who will be responsible for leading a well-planned and relevant curriculum to prepare students for IELTS exams or other similar exams. 

The postholder will be responsible for high standards of teaching, learning and assessment in all aspects of EAL/EFL teaching, building the confidence, fluency and ability in English of our international students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that is highly successful where students have a desire to learn. Applications are welcome from practitioners who have experience of teaching IELTS and can help design and deliver teacher development sessions to provide students the best opportunity to reach their potential in all curriculum areas.

School & Sims Administrator (37.5 hours per week)

39 weeks per annum, (term time + 4 weeks)

£21,000 per annum (actual) (FTE £28,000)

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual with excellent administrative and IT skills to join a school that is highly successful, where students have a desire to learn. This person will be responsible for providing full administrative support across faculties and to lead and manage all aspects of the School Information Management System (SIMS) & create a school timetable.

Applications are welcome from those that have relevant experience within the role, notably with SIMS system, Student Data administration and assisting with diary management.

37.5 hours per week (term-time + 4 weeks).
